The Lewis LHP-U4 Axial Cylinder Brake is engineered for the most demanding mountain biking disciplines. Whether you are racing Downhill, charging Enduro stages, or tackling technical All-Mountain terrain, the LHP-U4 delivers consistent, fade-free power.

Machined from CNC 7075 T6 Aluminum, this brake system prioritizes rigidity and heat management. The massive 4-piston caliper features independent cooling fins and huge oil reserves, ensuring that your braking power stays consistent from the top of the mountain to the bottom.

Key Performance Features:

• Triple Adjustability: Just like its big brother (the LHT), the LHP-U4 features the "Lewis Trifecta" of adjustments. You can tune the Lever Reach, the Bite Point, and the Leverage Ratio. This allows you to toggle between a snappy, aggressive bite or a linear, modulated feel.
  
  
• Heat Management System: The caliper houses 4 x Stainless Steel Pistons equipped with special insulating layers. Combined with the machined cooling fins on the caliper body, this design isolates the hydraulic fluid from brake heat, preventing "pump up" or fade during intense braking.
  
  
• Rigid CNC Construction: The 7075 T6 Aluminum body is lightweight yet incredibly stiff, translating your finger input directly into stopping power without the flex found in cast brakes.
  
  
• Anti-Leak Technology: Features advanced seal designs to ensure air-tight performance and simplified bleeding maintenance.

Mechanic's Note (Pad Compatibility): The LHP-U4 caliper is typically compatible with Hope E4 brake pads. This means finding replacement pads, whether sintered or metallic, is easy at almost any bike shop.

Important: Installation & Fitment Guide

Caliper Clearance Warning: The LHP-U4 features a robust, oversized CNC-caliper body. On certain forks (specifically the Fox 36), standard flat adapters may cause clearance issues.

• We strongly recommend using the Lewis PM-PM+20-A Adapter.
  
  
• This "A" model is specifically shaped to provide the necessary clearance for the LHP caliper body.
  
  
• If you are using a 200mm rotor with a 180mm post mount fork (standard Fox 36 setup), the "A" adapter is the safest choice to ensure a rub-free installation. If you're running a 220mm rotor on a 180mm post mount fork, consider our 40mm Adapter, available here.

Note: The levers are fully reversible (Flip-Flop design). If you prefer "Moto Style" (Right/Front), you can simply swap the hoses during installation.
