Lewis LV-S2: XC Weight, Enduro Cockpit

The Lewis LV-S2 redefines the lightweight brake category by pairing a featherweight 2-piston caliper with the race-proven LV4 Radial Master Cylinder. By utilizing the exact same lever assembly found on Lewis's LV4 brakes, the LV-S2 offers XC and Trail riders a level of stiffness, adjustability, and bearing-driven smoothness that is simply unheard of in the cross-country category.

While the caliper is slimmed down for speed, the lever provides the "big brake" feel. The Radial (Vertical) design orients the piston perpendicular to the handlebar, minimizing flex and providing a crisp, direct connection to the rotor. If you want the snap and modulation of an enduro brake in a package light enough for a World Cup race bike, this is it.

The "LV" Advantage (Lever Tech):

• Shared LV4 Radial Platform: The S2 uses the same skeletonized CNC lever body as the DH-rated LV4. This radial design reduces "squish" and flex, delivering immediate engagement that standard axial XC brakes can't match.
  
  
• Frictionless 4-Bearing Pivot: Most lightweight brakes use bushings to save grams. The LV-S2 refuses to compromise, utilizing 4 precision sealed cartridge bearings in the lever pivot. The result is a feather-light lever action that eliminates hand fatigue.
  
  
• Dual Adjustability: Complete control over your setup. Features Tool-Free Reach Adjustment (dial) to set the lever distance, and Bite Point Adjustment (via 2mm Allen key) to customize exactly where the power kicks in.

Caliper & Power:

• Oversized 21mm Pistons: While most 2-piston brakes use 19mm internals, the LV-S2 packs Dual 21mm Stainless Steel Pistons. This massive surface area generates significantly more clamping force, allowing this compact caliper to punch far above its weight class.
  
  
• Featherweight Construction: Despite the overbuilt lever and oversized pistons, the extensive CNC machining keeps the weight at just ~300g per set (levers & calipers, excluding hoses).

Mechanic's Note (Pad Compatibility): The LV-S2 uses Lewis LP-30 / TP-30 brake pads. These are specifically shaped to cover the larger 21mm pistons for maximum heat management. 

Configuration:

These brakes are sold in the standard configuration:

• Left Lever: Front Brake (90cm Hose)
• Right Lever: Rear Brake (165cm Hose)

Note: The levers feature a "Flip-Flop" design. If you ride "Moto Style" (Right/Front), you can easily unbolt and swap the hoses to reverse the configuration.
